Thumbs Up to independant Mechanic-Mike Burke in PA

I just wanted to let everyone know of a great independent mechanic in the Philadelphia area. I had an ABS issue for the past 2 months since I purchased my esprit. The dealer in Michigan said they fixed in, but it was not done correctly (Auto Europe). Then I brought it to the Philadelphia area Lotus dealership and after 3 weeks I was told that I would need to authorize $1700 worth of repairs in order for them to continue their diagnosis. It was like they were reading from a manual when I was asking specific questions about that costly repair, which they were totally unsure if that would fix the car. After 3 weeks of wasting time(and a bill of $170 dollars for their “diagnostics” which they could not produce any documentation to say what they had done) , I decided to take it to Burkes Automotive. This is my normal mechanic that I use for my lexus etc., I told him what had been going on. The car was dropped off on Tues and by Friday the problem was discovered and the car was fixed and the cost was no where near 1700. The 1700 dollar repair would have been a total waste. If anyone is in the Philadelphia, Delaware, New Jersey area I highly recommend Mike Burke at Burkes Automotive, 610 872 5760.

Don’t waste your time going to an over priced and under skilled dealership in the PA area. BTW, there was a 1980’s Esprit at the Rothrock dealership when my car was there, it was getting a new fuel pump, I drove by the other day and it is still there, 7 weeks to repair a fuel pump.
