Central console - touch screen

Guys, has anyone had any experience of removing this. (I hope i have the right term - basically the pat with the lid just behind the gearstick).

I am interested to know what is under this - how much space?

My Esprit in in the garage just now so I cant check.

I am installing a custom PC setup in the car, i.e. a touch screen controlling a bespoke Linux based computer serving up Sat Nav, MP3, Movies etc and would like to house the screen here.

Any advice greatly appreciated

If it's anything like my S3, the answer is 'bugger-all'. Basically a velour-covered bit of plastic on 4 pegs, under it is a slab of sound insulation and then the top of the centre tunnel.
