Canton Filters Arrived

Well, it's time for an oil change on the Esprit... and I opted to replace the OEM filter with a Canton CM Filter. Overall, nicely made alloy housing with a steel-cased synthetic filter element. I'll be doing oil a bit later today (real job real work) and posting a report later.
Price is a bit high for entry at $95 but filter replacements are cheap at ~ $11. My local dealer has been charging $29 for a Lotus filter and after getting a dud with the bypass valve stuck open (oil was almost black in less than 2K miles) I've decided to improve on all areas which are feasible.
Canton recommends the short filter be replaced every 15K street miles or every 750 racing miles. I plan to continue with every 5K miles oil/filter change.
