third a/c harder question..............
Discussion
OK, the A/C works fine, very cold..
but today it stopped..
symptoms..
front fan running.
idle speed higher
compressor running ( i see it engaged - and i fi pull the wire connector apart it stops till i re-attach it)
i see a flow ( some slight smear-small bubbles ) in the sight glass of the drier under the front hood.
On the compressor .. one pipe cool the other burning hot. on the drier it is cold pipe on one side not as cold on the other.
under the dash the pipes aer cold and dripping..
air flows from the vents..
when i move the air direction knob i see flaps move and the air moves from def to vent to floor..........
i suspect there are vacuum leaks in the engine compartment..............
The A/C worked fine yesterday... I dont see why it wont blwo cold air.............
ideas please......

Sounds like you are on the right track with the vacuum leak idea. The ones I had effected the whole system in the dash as the leak was before the hoses reached the dash, and none of the flaps worked so it wouldn't divert air through any of the vents. I can just suggest that you check closly under the dash for lose vacuum hoses etc. Good luck.

i will take a freash look today...maybe plug the t at the vacuum pump and get full vacuum under the dash...
the engine runs very quietly then with the flapper closed...
OOO there was good news too.. my fan was whistling all the time - very annoying.. While i was under the dash feeling around, i felt an air leak, and when i found this tiny 1/16 hole in the heater box. the put my finger over it and the whiltle stopped... In went a small screw and wow what a difference in the cabin.....
