Hello everyone, I'm new to the list. I bought a theft recovery 1997 Esprit V8, and am looking for parts to get it running. I'm looking for the following: Intake plenum with throttle bodies, injectors, coil packs, fuel rail, starter, ECU, parts and service manuals, and a few other misc bits. Please contact me at rstiers1@cogeco.ca if you can help.
Thanks,
Ray

Ray:

Contact Danny French at ALOTUSMAN@excite.com. He has a wrecked 1997 he is parting out with a number of the things you are looking for.

You may also want to chat with Frank at Sports Car World in Texas (www.sportscarworld.com) as I know he has an ECU for sale.

Wowee:
I assume that this is the silver one recently put up for auction. Are you actually going to try and bring this thing back to life? It sure needs a lot of bits to make it whole.

On the other hand, does ne1 know of someone in Ontario that has recently upgraded their S3 to that of a '97? I'd think that a certain insurance company would like their parts back.

Good luck on your quest for parts. I was thinking about using the car for a slightly different project. Never thought about restoring it. The wish list being so long and the salvage dec didn't work for me as a restoration.

I'm not necessarily going to fix the car. To me, the engine should be running to remove any doubts about it, before it is removed from the car. The engine is not worth as much to anyone(including me) if there are questions about it, and parts missing. It also gives me a chance to try out the trans to make sure it's OK. I'd hate to sell an engine or trans to someone and find out that the thieves had trashed them.
