Codes for my 94 s4?

I have been looking around and am trying to find a list of the codes for my 94 s4. I assume (possibly bad) that they are GM codes?

I am just a new baby with my Esprit (May 2004)any and all help, advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Should I consider the Freescan software package as my best option?
