I know that the trannies were Renault, and tail lights were from a Corolla right? I saw on another thread that the brakes on the SE are from a Supra?

What parts on the esprit are borrowed from Toyota and/or other companies?

Thanks.

I thought the tail lights were from a Supra. The gear box was a C5 unit from Citroen in 88 and earlier models. A great box despite the rumors... Front breaks...Supra (as stated). Inboard rear breaks I believe (could be very incorrect here !)are also from Renault...(?) At any rate, they came from someplace other than Lotus. There are several small bits that are shared with other autos that I can not recall. Still, Lotus put it all together the best way in my book!

Rear lights are corolla, not supra.

Early handles are shared with land rover and a few other leyland vehicles. S4 onwards gets door handles from GM (calibra i think) plus column stalks too.

Lotus are not the only company to do this btw.. any ferrari from a few years ago would have numerous fiat components. Current astons have jag and other ford parts etc, gallardo has audi switchgear.

Electric window motors sam as Jaguar (8 tooth)

Switch gear Austin rover (electric window switches)

Front light pods (Of a stingray corvette I think that it name )IE big american musle car!!!!!!

Rear Lights are of the Twincam corolla (the rally head version)

Most of the electrics on older versions are attributable to something else

Are the S4 and onward brakes Supra brakes?

What year of Corolla are those lights from?

When did they switch from a 5spd to 6spd? And were both of those from Renault?

The early S4's were the last cars to get the toyota brakes. Most S4's had brembos. The later S4s and the 98-00 v8's also had the same brembos.

The toyota lights are from Corolla Coupe AE86 RWD, Mid 1980's apparently.

All renault transmissions are five speed. There are no factory 6 speed transmissions.
