anybody have any experience of the upgrade chip for the v8 from PUKesprit?
i was thinking about the no.2 chip for the extra bhp,but wondered how easy the conversion is and setting up etc.
what about reliability?

More power will always mean your are putting more stress and strain on components. Its a good idea to look at some sort of charge cooling if you're raising the boost. Mike Sek, Johan, Gordonie all have intercoolers, plus i know of at least one v8 with water injection.

If you have the stock ecu then the hi-torque upgrade is well worth it (also available from lotus themselves). This is the sport 350 setup that i have on my car. Improved driveability without any reliability issues.

Are you finding the car underpowered??

Mike - i had the sport 350 firmware loaded on to my existing ecu at the factory whilst i waited. Only cost 100 quid.

Its worth trying this first IMO to see how you get on before commiting to anything more expensive.

My car goes like a scalded cat in 3rd and 4th gear - maybe you're not running full boost? Suggest you get yourself a drive in another v8 to compare.

Where are you based? You're welcome to check against my car
