Iam on the look out for an S4/S4s/GT3/or V8 to upgrade from my 1990 turbo (SE exterior spec).
After thinking long and hard, I have decided to sell my current car. It's either this or I will upgrade my engine to have it gas flowed, polished head etc. It's currently on www.lotusespritworld.com

If anyone on here is selling their Espirt then could they contact me via e-mail.

Cheers,

Thanks Kylie,

may end up keeping for a lttle while longer as I can't find a later model anywhere in my budget. Prices have gone silly for GT3/S4 & V8's over this side on the pond. Not much in the classifieds.
Sometimes it's better the devil you know and my car's running fine at the moment. I could spend another £10000 on upgrading only to find it needs a load of work soon after buying it.
I hate selling cars as you always get people making offers when they haven't even viewed or test driven the car. Also there is the dredded scam that's going about

Cheers,

Dave,
It's been a while to post.
I sort of been having the same thoughts as you are having for a while.

More than likely will sell my car soon for the same reason.

Still deciding on S4s or V8. If I go to a V8 I will miss tinkering with the 4 cyl. and knowing the SE so well. Which seems like a dear old friend. The SE and the Stevens body style is the only Lotus car I have seen totally disassembled at Keen's place. A life size expolded diagram as I called it.

Good luck,
Calvin

From a purely selfish point of view, i'd love Dave and Calvin to both buy a V8. The more 'hands on' people we get on these the better as far as i'm concerned

If I get a V8 I will have to visit Guy Therien's house so I can see a V8 down to the individual components as he is taking his car apart again.

I don't know how many actually have seen a whole car apart and spread out across a garage floor but it is indeed an experience. Once you see it like that it becomes much easier doing proceedures when one can not have a clear line of sight and must be done by feel, inverted, or in some other ridiculous position.
