Beat this..............imagine the suprise my mate had when we got hold of a couple of AutoArts excellant Essex Esprit Turbo 1/18 models, only to find that the model was based on his actual Essex - No.17?!!! Even got the number on the rear wing? Anyone know how/when they developed the model? We'd love to know - we demand royalties!!!!!!
Yardelli,
I have the same autoart model too.
Your mates number 17 (OVW 84W) was a press car,and has featured in a lot of magazine articles. It is featured in the superb 'The Lotus Book' by William taylor too.
I have a June 1998 copy of Performance Car magazine with a feature on this same car. Your mate can HAVE it if he would like, just click on my name and mail me the address off-line,i will post F.O.C.
