So when are you getting them? I could have really needed your help today with that spare rear tyre. Had a flat with 2 huge 75mm long cuts along the side walls yesterday. Had to go and get a tyre today.
Hope to see your new wheels soon.

Cheers,

i bl##dy hope so because i drive a GT3, denis @ dvr said you need spacers for them to fit a v8, but he is sending the spacers for me anyway, so i will try with and without spacers,,,i want the wheels right on the edge of the arches, but they are going to be 30mm wider than standard anyway so might be ok without

The arch extentions don't add anything to the Esprit. They are tacked onto the same shape as Esprits that don't have them.

They were added to pass a test for wider wheels. You don't actually need them as they don't do anything to the well depth.

You need be more concerned about space within the wheel well, particularly the back wall. On later cars it was deepened for the full lock clearance. On early pre V8 Esprits there would be rub at full lock.

Hey Karl
Sorry to be the only turd in this pool of positivity, but I was kind of hoping you had forgotten about modding the GT3 or run out of money! Please tell me you're going to stop short of the flip-flop paint, or will there be another christmas tree decoration in the car park at McDonalds soon???

OOOooooooooOOOOOOO MARK

DONT WORRY YOUR LITTLE HEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

no you will be glad to hear the flip will not happen, i have spoke to numerous people and its a 95% decision that flip paint would cheapen the esprit, (thats even saxo drivers and cruisers said that,,,so you see they do have taste),,alot of people keep telling me to keep the colour (titanium) because you dont see many (not sure about that), i would love to spray it a nice pearl colour (like TVR) or black, i think esprits in black are just amazing, and light black tinted windows (pure class), would set the wheels off a treat. oh and then get someone else to wash it, WATERMARKS NO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pheeeeeeyyyyyyeeeeeewwwwww!
Titanium is a great colour for the car, glad your going to keep it. I have been losing sleep over this.

By the way, don't think I'm against all modded cars, I'm all for it on snooze-mobiles, just not classics. I used to have a Mk2 Golf 'till a couple of years ago, and if I hadn't had to sell it to house my growing family would love to have added a trick alcantara interior, Polo dash, and the whole external shebang. Just today my missus looked in disgust as I eyed up a really cool tastefully modded Alfa 156 with some comment about looking like a boy racer. As we speak I am on the lookout for an old Opel Manta Exclusive as a daily driver, and the first things that will go on are a set of 17s! Who cares if I'm closer to 40 than 30.

Cheers

Black is good, but dear god what a bitch to clean , I am undecided whether I should get some S4 alloys for my SE Turbo, I like the fact that it is completely original at the moment but the S4 wheels just look so so sweet.

well when i get rid of my wheels (dave walters already 1st on the buying list), if by any crazy chance he doesnt want them i will email you matey

black with blue pearl sounds amazing, my misses has a black scooby and her standard paint (jap import) is black with red metallic and that looks nice but can only been seen in extreme sunlight

my next step is the lower the back end and new zorst i think, as the rear wheels even though there 19" are 3mm smaller than orginal

Nope, not manipulated - this is off hotwheels.com
Apparently they were going to do a stock titanium GT3 but they got some advice from an owner who said it would be better with 22" rims and an blinging paint job
