I have started running my 89 Esprit in our regional SCCA solo autocross and would like to find a set of racing formula tires, (Avon or Hoosier for example), to fit the 15" rims. I have a set of 16" rears I could use instead of the 15's. Does anyone know of a manufacturer carrying sizes to suit this model year?

Toyo RA1's 225-50-15 and 255-50-16 Very sticky, can also be used in the rain on fresh tires, but when the tread starts to wear - Hold on! We follow classic and other GT class racing, which we often cruize the pit lane for chat. Many of them have swapped to Toyo and happy with the results. The other thing I was told if the sizes are not quite right for car you can request a size to suit and they may make them for you, but don't know how long it takes and you may have to pay more. We seen a racing Ferrari 308GT I think it was with these tires lined up their tyre rack they were 17's 300 and something wide with a smaller profile. I know Toyo definately do not stock such a wide tire.

Its a cheaper alternative than Hoosier and other marked brands with the same performance.

Anyway hope you have some luck, there's not a lot out there for our sizes.
