Simple questions???
Discussion
OK guys, I've got 3 questions...
Where is the fill plug for the transmision and how many pints(liters) does it take?
Where is the fuel pump fuse located and what amperage should it be?
My wife says the gas, brake, and clutch peddles should have rubbers on them. She's afraid her feet will slip off. Did Lotus install them ???
Thanks
Dave

Sorry. I could not find any color variety... but, the rubbers you are seeking were made by Lotus in black. I'm not sure if the part number is good on a '90 (this number is for '88 and '89 for sure this should work).
Pad, Brake and Clutch Pedals A079J6001F 2 required
(Throttle was always bare as far as I know.)
The gear box fill plug should be located right on the top. If you pull the carpet back in the boot, there should be an access to reach the plug. I think it is a 17mm bolt w/ a washer. Not one of my parts catalogs (actually from Lotus!) shows this part or list a number on any of the gear boxes.
Fuel Pump fuse. In this case, fuses. My info states "from 89 on" so if... IF... it is good info these fuses are located in the ignition box (in the boot). They are twin fuses snugged between the Inertia switch (fuel shut off ) and the fuel pump control relay.
The Inertia switch is located in the upper left of the ignition box as you face it and it is black with a button on top- accessed from a small hole atop the ignition box when it is closed. The fuel pump control relay is the silver (could be light blue) relay next to that on the left. The fuses you seek are inbetween as stated and should both be 15AMP rated...
Drive Topless!!! (but safe)

Great idea! That would work better than heavy rubber pads that ya catch your feet on.
Thanks
Love your web site, by the way

Are you going to show us a pic of the beast when you get a chance its generally a mandatory requirement here
Noticed its black - good choice!
That's okay Dave, I can't type or spell and somehow I wound up in software support... for hospitals no less!!! Now then , back to the accelorator (gas) pedal...
Kylie, that sand paper trick sounds like a good idea... how often does it have to be replaced?
Drive topless...

I havent replaced mine yet, but I only do weekend miles, so you would have to check every few months if your doing lots of miles. I was driving bare feet once, got a pedicure at the same time

Hope you've vacuumed since!
BTW: your gas pedal rubber isn't missing. No Stevens Esprits ever came with one.

Sorry Dave, I'm all over the country... just last year I went to Maine for two weeks, Home a week, Alaska for the the following two weeks, home and then off Arizona...
The sand paper does not sound tooooo bad... A friend with a Ferrari suggested "grip tape - like people put on side walks"... that is what he used. I'm off to see it as I have never noticed it before. I'll post what I think...
Drive topless!!!

Of course I was only joking about the pedicure! Shes clean and sparkly down there.
