Noticed this recently on my car...actually had been pointed out to me by a passenger who also had seen it on another Esprit.
Under WOT conditions, boosting like crazy, when I lift off the throttle to brake, the speedo jumps considerably to the right.
The other day I was pulling strong to 90, let off the throttle to come back down to legal speed, and the speedo bumped up to 115 when I let off the gas.
Any idea what's causing this?

Mike,
The cable end into the gauge isn't the best fit, this can cause the speedo to jump. Try tightening it. If that doesn't work, an old, time honored trick is to get a piece of rigid wire, such as from a clothes hanger. Cut off about a 3-5mm piece and put it between the cable end and the receiver in the gauge, this usually fixes the problem for good. Happy Motoring! ... Jim'85TE
