So long as it has an anti-backflow valve (which you can see by looking down the center hole of the filter), you should be fine, the majority of filters out there today have this valve. Be aware of the budget filters out there that don't.

I think Calvin uses this filter by memory which he has a similar model to yours.

Purolator Pure One PL20081 is the one I use.

It can be found at most auto supply chain stores.

It has a very fine micron rating for filtration and will have to be changed on time as it might cause a lower oil pressure as I would suspect the fine pores on this filter would be easier to get clogged than one of the less expensive with larger pores.

It probably does not make a lot of difference about the pore size if one changes filters at the 3K intervals. But it is only a few dollars more than the lower grade filter, so maybe call it psychological thing with me about spending a few extra dollars on the Esprit.

We owners usually spend the extra money, time, or go the extra mile to take care of our cars even if the there is only a slight chance it might make a difference in just about everything related to our cars.

Calvin's filter number is correct. Just installed one on my 90SE.
