1997 esprit burning oil HELP!!!

Hello, I am new to the esprit so any help would be great. I have a 1997 red esprit with 23000 miles in very good shape. Latley on the driver side only after warm up she belows out smoke blue in color for about 30sec. Then as you drive about every 20min or so depending on the type of driving she does the same???

Sounds a bit strange, but there's only a few things that will cause this:

1- valve seals - check spark plugs for this.

2- turbo leaking oil - either into intake where it eventually gets sucked into the engine or the oil is going out the exhaust side. Note: the V8 is crossfeed from the turbos.

3- worn cylinders/rings... doubt it would be this.

Hi,

KM gave quite a few good leads as to what to look for, another would be has the oil been overfilled? This will cause what you are seeing, especially with the reoccurance as oil pools in the top of the head. Just a thought. Happy Motoring!... Jim'85TE
