Lacob Javitz Auto Show
Discussion
Today we had the LEO sponsored Lotus tent outside the auto show. I believe we had 27 cars on display. It was truly a site of beauty! And to think, just last year I was on the outside looking in. Wishing I had a Lotus. This year I was living the dream and inside the ropes. My girlfriend and I had a great time. It was good to see those I knew, meet those I didn't and finally put a face to all of those names. I'd just like to thank everyone. The group is a wonderful bunch of people who make you feel right at home, right away. Thanks to those who supplied the food and drink, who organized it and who participate. It was a hell of a day.
I have a bunch of pictures we took up on my site. No pretty pages or anything, just a folder of pictures. They are all shrunk down to 800x600 with plates blocked out. If you want a hi-res and untouched copy of any picture, let me know and I can send it to you. Pictures can be found at: www.databurstpc.com/lotus/
Thanks again to everyone. Hope to see you all real soon.

Yesterday was definately a great day for the Lotus bunch. The weather was perfect, the crowd was many, they loved the Lotus cars!! And so did I.
I had alot of fun meeting everyone again, and meeting the new members. It was good to finally meet you Rich, your Esprit is very nice. Even nicer when you were revving her, the BOV sounded sick!
So on behalf of my girlfriend and I, thanks to everyone who had given me the time and pleasure to talk Lotus and sit in their own Esprits. I truly appreciated the genuine acceptance you guys had of a person who doesnt own one. I really did feel like part of the crew. It really fuels my desire to own one of these beauties.
Thanks again for making my day.

Amanda and I (Noah) had a great time too. It was very nice meeting all of you, and my apologies for not saying good-bye to each of you - we were both a little anxious to get home after a long day.
I was very impressed with all of the cars considering the rather disappointing vehicles I looked at before purchasing mine.
I hope we can do it again next year. It was lots of fun answering the crowds' questions - and seeing the dream of ownership in their eyes when they thought - hmm... for the price of 3 series BMW I can get a really nice Lotus...
Looking forward to the next event...

Thank you Joe and everyone who organized a first rate event! It certainly was a great bunch of machines but an even greater bunch of Lotus enthusiasts.
I cant wait till next year....which is just about when Steven Jr is no longer grounded for redlining during the 'rev-off'!

LOL Hey Dasspoot, I didnt know you were there. Did we even meet? LOL So your son redlined it eh. Poor guy.
NJCPA - I dont think I met you formally either. By the way, I like the gray bottom and white top of your Esprit, it looks very cool.

Hi all,
just to say that maranellouk and myself were there as well. We came behind the ropes and were there for the rev off.
Can't remember names of who we spoke to but just to say we had a good time looking around the cars (especially the Elise for me) and chatting with fellow enthusiasts.

Tell me about it, the Elise was such a cool little car. It was the first time I ever sat in a MK2
