Engine stalling
Discussion
I got a problem with my 1994 S4. 100 000km.
Recently tok out my exhaust system and welded a crack. Unhocked the lambdasond. After a little while, it seemed like the engine didn't get enough fuel during hi revs/full throttle. Normal driving was OK. If I give full power on 2. gear- it will hesitate from 4-7000rpm. Also hesitates on 3. 4. and 5. gear...
Recently started to drive it after winter storage.
But it was fine for the first 1000km.(Don't know if it got anything to do with the exhaust system.)
Another point is that sometimes it runs perfect. The problem appears every now and then....
Sometimes it will stop for a little second(around 4500revs), then it goes on with full power all the way to the red, like it have unplugged something- and gets full power.
What can it be?
Lambdasond? Potmeter? ECU? Spark plugs? Fuel filter?
Do anyone got a partnr for fuel filter(1994), or knows of a dealer who ships to Norway?
Thx

I will agree with you on that. I had some Bosch platinums in my '89 non-SE. The correct number too. Lasted about 6000 miles. It wasn't the center post, which is platinum, that wore, but the ground tip that burned off. My NGK's last about 10,000 miles
Haven't seen anything that bad since my Europa that went through plugs in 3000 miles.
