Hi folks, the master clutch master cylinder on my S3 has now given up. The good news is that is comes off the car easily but does anyone know whuch car these came from. I can't imagine it was a special Lotus part (apart from the price. Any help on locating a replacement would be appreciated. Thanks

Not sure about which other car it may have been used on (although the Citroen SM is a possibility ) but you could try SJ Sportscars down in Devon (they have a website and an excellent parts search facility) or even your local Lucas-Girling agents, who should be able to ID it from the various numbers on the casting.
I also found Powertrack on the web; they reckon they can get anything with a Girling badge on it.

Well I telephoned SJ Sportscars in Devon. They were really friendly and helpful and I've ordered the master cylinder at a very reasonable price. So far, I would really recommend them.
