Id like to start out by saying I LOVE taking pictures and sharing them, so here are somem from today. I was cruising with my buddy who owns the Lambo and we went all around south florida, to say the least it was a GREAT day ... ENJOY !!

P.S- We raced, and lets just say he and I were amazed with the outcome ...

Looks like you had a fun day.
Next time you see him tell him to get some new rims

So who won?

Nice Al! Is it coincidence that in all of the photos, the Lambo is either beside or behind you?

I certainly like the Norfolk Mustard better than that of the Lambo, and I'm not really keen on the Lambo's color-matched rims. They're both very impressive cars.

Thanks guys, and yes it was a TON of fun ... As for the rims, I told him they were FUGLY and he already told me he had some HRE's on order.

As for the race ... well we went from a 30 roll till 150 and I was only ONE, yes, ONE car length behind him. My front bumper was directly behind his rear. Also Id like to mention that we are both VERY good drivers ... I as well as him have been to Skip Barber racing school twice. Needles to say, I was VERY happy with the results ...

Just my opinion, but although I've always liked the Diablo, I never cared much for what they did to its nose on the Diablo 6.0. It somehow looks like there's a piece missing or something. If I was to choose, I would much rather have the Diablo SV instead.

BTW: I agree, the wheels look obnoxious.

Oh, and while I certainly prefer shiny rims, I don't think the color matched rims look too bad...tho they seem a shade darker than the car.

What is carzy is the last pic. I've seen both in the flesh, but never side by side, and didn't realize how much lower and smaller the Diablo is.

Beautiful car (but better with the pop up lights.)

Nice pics Al. I too was out for a test ride earlier. Based on upcoming travel and lack of parts availability, I finished up the cambelts and put it back together until parts start showing up later this month.

Anyway... be careful on the Shell gas. Most V8 owners, including me, get check engine lights when running Shell. I switched to Chevron and they went away.

PS - yea, the wheels on the lambo aren't that great.

Thanks guys ... and dont worry, I NEVER use shell gas. I always use MOBIL ... the lambo just wanted gas fast, so I stopped at the nearest station.

I believe I just saw that same Lambo on Speedlogic on MUN2 channel. Was in a show in Fort Lauderdale, Florida I think.

Same hubcaps, same color paint, same model. Could this be the same car? Must be!

Thanks ... and when I got the car they were chromed. Unfortunately they didnt do to good of a job and they are now peeling. So to save some weight Im going to go ahead and get them professionaly polished after getting some other things sorted out.

And lastly that may be the same car if it was in Ft.Lauderdale ...

Al,

I've spoken to OZ Racing in Miami before. They recommend Turbax in FLL for wheel refinishing and repair.

V8TT - You've made my morning.

I'm 'Espritless' at the momment after selling mine last year, but I'm hoping to get back in one soon. The Diablo has always been another part of my automotive wet dreaming - To see both of them together is a REAL delight.

Somebody told me the other day the Esprit design was "retro"!! After the ensuing argument he gave up arguing with me. However your pics have just proven how well the design has stood the test of time and how STUNNING the Esprit still looks next to even the most stylish of modern exotica.

Well done for capturing both together.

Days like the ones you had are the ones for which the first caveman envisaged when carving out the first wheels....

Made my day.
