Hi kids: Do any of you guys experience leg cramps or foot cramps after an hours drive? Its happened to me the last few times I've driven my car. If I keep the seat back I'm OK, but can't press the clutch all the way in... Move the seat up a few notches and I get cramps in my foot or leg. Its the kind ya get in the middle of the night, where ya wake up screaming, and have to grab your toes and bend them back to make it stop.
Perhaps "Dr." Hess can help????I'm looking for a cure.

Yeah my right leg thats on the excelerator pedal side gets quite stiff esp around my knee. I am quite a fit person and couldn't understand why as I have no probs in other cars. I rekon its cause the steering column is tilted to one side slightly which you naturally mould your body around it to suit and my legs must sit at a slightly weired angle. I don't really know just a guess.
The only thing that I can put that down to is maybe softer soles on your shoes (training shoes) and a stiff clutch pedal. It has happened to me once when driving with training shoes on. I nearly always drive with casual shoe/boot with a hard sole.
I think it sparks off a nerve under your foot. Mine happened straight away. Can't explain why your experience was so delayed.

My right leg sometimes bothers me for a little bit--a little stiff at the upper calf and near the hip--after driving the Esprit for about an hour. For me, the driving position does require a weird angle & further away from your body than my left leg.

Bloody hell, all these problems, I thought it was just me!!
As well as being a bit of a salad-dodger, I am short of leg too. Ideally I would like to sit further back to get better access at the gas/brake, but then I can't press the cluth in far enough.
Maybe we could get some club discount on disabled-driver pedal extensions!!!
PSI nearly visited the doctor with my right knee recently, and my achilles tendon threatened to snap - I've had beefy clutches before but the Esprit takes the prize!

Bloody hell, I thought it was just me! I'm used to the straight-legged position of the TVR wedge, so the Esprit came as a bit of a shock. I've only driven it short distances and it's the single most noticeable defect with the ergonomics.
I was intending to look at the throttle pedal and maybe cut & reweld to suit me...

I'm 6'1" and have never suffered the above referenced maladies. Even after a 5 1/2 hour trip from Orlando to Atlanta. It might be the lighter clutch on the '98 though...
Maybe just a reconfiguration of your driving position. I know I spent quite some time getting my position correct even though it initially felt strange (kind of a hard to get in the car lying down position)...

My garage is a bit tight, and like I said I HAVE eaten all the pies, so I have to slide the seat back everytime I get out - ideal position lost.
How queer doctor !! I get cramp in my right foot as well, but hardly ever in my left. At least if it does happen in the left you can push your toes against the foot rest but that's a bit tricky with the right.
With my GT3 my left leg was an inch wider due to the clucth !! Now my right leg is catching up with my Sport 350. The clutch is lighter but the trottle is a bit stiff !
