Ernest, according to the end of the show there is a video with extra footage available from their web site www.menandmotors.co.uk, hunted high and low for it(No big chore 
) but I cant find it, I'll check again in a couple of days.
If any one can record it and put it on the net its on again at 21.00 tomorrow (17th May).

I did, Taped it with good old VHS as well to be sure. I'll do a 320x240 res version for you until you can get it yourself.

Karls car is quite special, although neons have never been to my taste they actually look pretty good on Karl's GT3, the pity is the programme was shot before he added the NOS, wheels and 4 pipe exhaust

I'm sure it is, as with any Lotus is a special car (although i dont own one!) but i'm sorry, neons just remind me too much of the local saxo brigade in mcdonalds, i just dont like neons sorry
I must confess I found it a very interesting and informative programme (apart from the guy with the neons...get a life)even if the close-ups emphasised jsut how cheap the fittings were.
however, it was a model lesson in putting together a good programme about a specific car. More please and less CRAP!
It was interesting from the point of view that I grew up with the Esprit and forgot just how long it's been around. I didn't like the car until it got to it's Turbo Esprit phase and unlike everyone else, I thought the Esprits in the Bond movies were totally naff.
I did consider buying one once but the Lotus philosophy of letting the buyers develop and fix the cars put me off. I then recall how dated the Esprit began to look in the 80's as smooth designs replaced the origami school of design. Interestingly, as the sharper edges have returned to car design, I found myself liking the original cars better than the Steven's design although overall, I preferred the last ones with the thin indicators.
The programme was a great tribute to a car which has often been overshadowed by Porsches and the like and reminded me how much it has evolved over the years. Having never really been seriously tempted by one, that programme altered my perceptions or perhaps fooled my perceptions into believing I really did want one. It was nice to see enthusiasts really involved with the cars as well. I now understand Lotus owners a bit more and have a healthy respect for them.
The best part was just how good the design has proved to be - years longer in production than any Ferrari or Lamborghini and a truly classic supercar design.

No, it was mentioned briefly and then went on to the Esprit that took the best parts of the Sport 300 and whatever the other one was called. Sorry, they're all Esprits to me and the nuances of model nomenclature were lost on me...or at least I know them but they meld into the first shape, the second shape and the last shape. LOL.

well at the end of the day it was a good programme, and i was took by suprise, didnt know i was going to be on camera at all.
as for neons each to there own,,,and i got good feed back at the lotus show with them,,,,,you dont buy a lotus to hide in the crowd, i only use there for shows usually.
and lucifer (or whatever), as for your lovely get a life comment,,,,
no.1 - what do you drive
no.2 - i bought the car so its my property and can do what i like with it
no.3 - if you go to the pics page you will see my new wheels and nos aswell, that should make you upset
even though i went to the factory and they actually said they would make them standard fit if they could
i see your a barrister, so a clever bloke i assume, well cant you think of a better critism than that, oh and im in wales soon at cardiff cathedral for a wedding so if you like i can come and show you my messed up lotus, and may teach you how to drive one aswell.
