So, leaving the Revival car parks is painful, we know that.
95% of people sit in the queue of cars waiting to leave, in order, and wait their turn.
But there is a minority, who decide to steam it down the side of the field to jump the queue.
I'd love to know why they are more important than the rest of us?? Yes you in the Cooper S Works who drove so fast to push in that you can't have any teeth left after driving across the field......

Heartily agree - Car Park B, incredibly slow and shafted royally by all sorts of people who enjoy pleasuring their own bodies shoving in. Special mention to the black Audi A4 convertible who actually weaved through all the spaces left by departed cars to get to the front.

What time did you guys leave? I was quite surprised I got out quite so easily leaving at about 6:30. Not sure if I was before or after the peak time!

We had no problems
Saw the queues and just sat back had a cup o tea and some cake waited till about 7 ish then left with only minor queues.
We watched the last Spitfire fly over to end the weekend and then just watched the sun go down and watch the queue jumpers driving everywhere
Why bother getting stressed out I say.
The traffic lights were a great idea as you went out to the A285 well done Goodwood

I was very early one day and sat behind a Ferrari Dino pottering along (wet grass) in the main car park only for a elderly MGB driver to overtake myself and the Ferrari in the car park about 50 ft before we parked.

It was 7am (30 mins before the gates opened).

Impatient arse!

I mean whats all that about…if you want to leave without a queue then leave early or later…or don't even bother coming at all…life is toooo short to do this sort of stuff.

Stay as late as you can, that avoids the queing.

I sort of enjoyed the queue to leave (I am British, its what we do). I was behind a Mercedes Pagoda with two nice ladies in it and next to a MG V8. And then on the journey home, slow at times through Petworth and beyond, I was behind a lovely purple Elan DHC - classic car convoys are to be relished I reckon. Its all part of it and life is too short to get too hot under the collar about any of it.

There you go the right attitude…smile and to hear some of the cars burbling around Petworth is pretty nice.

It's not just the ones on the way out though is it ? Several times I have witnessed the selfish ones who decide to have a five minute conversation with a Marshall about where he can park on the way in , totally ignoring the traffic he is holding up , either pull to one side if you want to do this or just get on with it like the rest of us , frankly what makes you so special you can decide to do this ?

Agreed, although the marshals should really tell them to move to the side and not have a long conversation with them while they block the road.

TBH the ability of some of the car park staff is pretty poor, I guess they are poorly paid agency people so can't be expected to be pro-active decision makers, but a bit of training wouldn't go a miss!

Agreed also that just get on with it like the rest of us is the only way to go - either you have a windscreen sticker that says carpark A,B,C etc and you follow the signs to it or you go where you're told.

I'd be interested to see the whole going in and out of carparks from the air to see what happens, sometimes the queues seem so bad I can't beleive it, but maybe it is just because of getting 20000 cars down 2 country lanes!

I don't go because I don't want to pay £70 to get in come rain or shine, but the traffic is probably the bigger problem. The Breakfast Club is bad enough! frown

Why not pay the ticket face value of £54 then?

Was anyone else in Car Park G on Sunday? There was a guy in a black Merc/AMG trying to leave but having serious traction issues in the mud. Not sure what was going on because no one else seemed to have a problem including myself in the Griff.

He was spinning his wheels in reverse while his buddies tried to push him but all he seemed to accomplish was to slide sideways.

Parking exit was hopeless. The staff were making no attempt to ease the situation either. Almost enough to put me off going next year. (almost......)

Or just park in the car park and wander round the cars and leave before everyone else and pay nothing smile

Do you know I'm actually thinking of doing that one year (maybe next). Picnic in the car park. Enough time to see all the tax exempt car park, mooch at the retail stands , browse the Bonhams lot etc. The air displays are viewable from outside. Mmmm cheap day IMVHO (and no grumpy old gits moaning about my camping chair wink )

Hmmm, I can see GW going over to a ticket per car (based on four sharing or whatever) and controlling entry to the car parks, not the circuit.
