I went to the Saturday of the Members Weekend at the motor circuit and I must say it was a good day out. Laid back feel, some nice cars about. It felt like a miniature Members Meeting, which I suppose is exactly what it was.

It would be fun to add a bit more track action, and perhaps something competitive like an autosolo on the skid pan. They could do a lot with the format. I thought having the Members track sessions was fun given the huge range of machinery. Not one but two Jaguar XJs lapping the track.

I did the Members' Parade which I thought was a nice thing to do for a very reasonable £20 on top of my free entry ticket.

I did enjoy the T.50 going out, doing a single lap and blowing the doors off every decibel meter (the owner posted on instagram it did 120dB), and being immediately black flagged.

Only mishap of the day was the 7X Design Ferrari catching fire at St Mary's. It looked a big fire but I've not seen any pictures of the aftermath. However having looked at it, a fire might actually help its aesthetic.

I'll certainly go along next year and will look forward to seeing what they do with it.

Thanks all

I went on the Sunday and really enjoyed it. It was great to chat to others and just potter around the pits and along the start/finish. I didn’t think it was that busy.

Thanks

I went on both days, I took the wife and my 2 boys on Saturday and they had a great time, so good to share the passion with them. I also went round the track but it was more like an M25 accident recreation so barely got out of third gear. But the Saturday was nice and chilled and yes its great and for me a convenient place to get to.
Loved the burnouts from the americanas....

Sunday was much busier, just about got to park on the gravel near the old control tower, saw his grace and met loads of nice people. Car of the day for me on Sunday was the lovely heritage 911 classic. Shame the rain made a large percentage fly home... I hadn't seen half the cars by the time the light weights started leaving.

Which dates was it on this year?

I was at the members breakfast club on 26th July but didn’t know there was other stuff on. Can’t seem to find it on the website?

Thanks

Yes the app or website does need improving on "what's on" at Goodwood, even if its club or specific marques meets..
