Hi does anyone know if the times is offering fre tickets to fos this year?, i seem to recall that last year was the last time they were doing it?

Previous years its only been publicised about three weeks before and I think in 2010 was kept for the online subscribers

I got some last year and I dont subsribe to The Times, so did everyone else I know. So fingers crossed !

Also worth looking in the Chichester observer nearer the time, if you or anyone you know, are in the area.

IIRC you had to take up the 'free trial' subscription to enter the ticket 'competition' on-line (which was how they badged it along with other 'exclusive on-line offers') So how did you get yours as I know that there were no coupons etc in the published paper.

Sorry, let me rephrase. I did register with the times but didnt pay the subscription to be a Times+ member.

Ah so, yes I did the same but as I see it we've all had our 30-day free trial so won't be able to pull the same stunt this year frown
However I'm hoping they might try a marketing campaign to coincide with the ticket issue of another free trial period or else it's the Chichester Observer route. Good that under 18's are half price, saves me putting my 17 year old stepson in stuff designed to make him look 14bandit

This may or may not be connected but the Telegraph was announcing Saturday that its the Goodwood media partner this year which could be interpreted as no Times freebies this year

The Telegraph replaces the Times now apparently so look there for freebies

My guess (as a Telegraph subscriber) is that they'll restrict promotions to subscribers as they are putting a lot of effort into promoting the benefits of subscribing to the paper
