We aren't professionals, just like to do 20 miles or so a couple of times a month. Pretty much all on roads.

She has a cheapo hybrid that we got from Go Outdoors which she likes, but has only 7 gears (d'oh). We could get gears added I suppose but we will probably sell it and upgrade.

Budget - I think £400 or so would suffice? She is 5' 1" so needs quite a small frame.

Local dealer has Trek and Specialized ones that she liked but wondered if there were any "go to" bikes at the moment?

Thanks

Cheers - after looking at a few its pretty clear that the BTwin is the best bike for the money, but she wasn't keen and has gone for a Trek Neko 2

you've chosen well with the Trek Neko. My wife has one and loves it, and the frame is perfect for the more diminutive lady
