Thought some of you might like this, 8 year old daughters latest bike, Hase Trets.
She has cerebral palsy so balance and co-ordination can b a problem. I have towed her on a Weehoo but she is getting too big for that.
Anyway I had my eye on one of these for a while but they are very expensive, found this on eBay and a deal was done and collected it.
Can't get her off it and despite a few near misses she has picked it up very well and getting some good bike sense.
Twin disk brakes, very light and can also be used as a trailer for when she gets tired.
7 speed, although 1st is fast enough.
She loves it!

I reckon I'd like one of those for myself, it looks like a serious hot rod of a bike to me. thumbup

cheers everyone, she is certainly enjoying it and it is great to see her have some independence out and about.

I've got a video where she is hurtling down a hill and I am certain she managed to drift it on the gravel, with me shouting "BRAKE. BRAKE, BRAAAKKEEE" and the fact she is laughing her head off when I catch up with her is brilliant.

I know it is only a bike but it seems to have boosted her confidence and I was really worried what as a family we would do when she got too big to be on a trailer type bike, as a family we enjoy bike rides and outdoor stuff and it is great to see other kids and adults saying "nice bike!" as we gently cycle past, I can see her face beaming.

It cost quite a lot of money but worth every penny!

Does it have standard bar end grips like a MTB?

If so - a set of pink Lizard Skin grips might be a bit of bling to make it even cooler...

It has got standard grips so yes, i think they need to be upgraded.
The latest model has different forks so I would like to update them as well.
She is still enjoying it and cannot bear the thought of it being left in the shed, so it is the only bike that is allowed to stay in the house!
