I've got one of their hardtails - a Nucleus 275. It was an absolute bargain, after the first year I replaced the low end drivetrain with an XT 1x10 system, which improved the bike greatly.
Having said that, I went out on it straight after riding my Orange Four last night and it felt really clunky, not just the lack of suspension.

I've got a 2016 Escarpe VRX (27.5" wheels) and it's a great bike for the money. There are some occasions when I would prefer more rear travel but it's not too often and I don't feel like it's holding me back. It can easily handle all trail centre work and only gets better the faster you ride it. I'm heading to a bike park this weekend and I know it'll hold up no problem while I have the energy to make the bike work under me. If you're a lazy rider that wants to let the bike do everything while you just hold on and smash through the wrong line then better to get more travel.
I had a couple of teething troubles, the most annoying being a slow leak in the rear shock but I blame Rockshox for an error in putting the thing together. It was all fixed under warranty so no real hassle since I live close to the (now closed down - thanks Wiggle) CRC workshop.
My frame didn't come with any cable protectors (the clear stick on pads) so I had some rubbing marks particularly around the head tube before I got protection put on it. I think they were in the box to put on yourself but I must have missed them when putting the bike together. Vitus also included a little pot of touch up paint which came in handy.

Bike arrived, ridden it a few times and its pretty damn good. Big thumbs up from me, i've moved over from an older single pivot bike that was a lot more expensive and the escarpe blows it away in terms of the suspension and geo.
Paint is soft but have covered it in clear plastic wrap.
