Can anyone recommend a disc brake suitable wheel that’s in the 40-50mm range and, most importantly compatible with 15mm they axles at the front? Ideally Tubeless compatible too.

I’d decided to buy a set of Hunt 50Carbon Aero Discs @£1k but they’ve just changed the hub and it can no longer be adapted to fit 15mm axles (QR / 9mm / 12mm only I think) frown In an ideal world I’d buy myself a set of Enve SES 4.5 AR Disc wheels but at $2,900 (only U.K. price I’ve seen was £3,200) but it feels crazy to spend nearly the same as my bike cost me on the wheels.

Can you not select a hub and find the rim you are after and have the wheel built?

Whilst I don't own any of his Carbon wheels yet, I do have some of his wheels that I'm very happy with - might be worth a chat through?

Also speak to Malcolm at thecycleclinic.co.uk

He will build whatever you want.

I have had two sets of wheels from him, rim failure in a SL23 replaced and rebuilt for free. Top chap.

Only 38mm and not tubeless, but 12/15mm front and rear.

Use code CYCLEDIV5 to take a fiver off the price.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Very helpful. A custom build had never even crossed my mind.

I've asked for a quote from this guy having browsed his site. Either some 44 or 51mm wheels would fit the bill and spec/price seemingly very similar to the Hunt wheels.

Great spot. While not that light (about the same as my standard wheels) and I don't think tubeless, they're pretty cheap compared to everything else and fit the bill profile wise.

After what must have been an irritating amount of email correspondence I bought some DCR 50mm rims using his own hub and carbon rim. Should save a little weight when combined with the tubeless tyre and have good rolling resistance (plus the aero benefit).

https://reynoldscycling.com/collections/all-roads/...

both 12 & 15mm included for the front according to the blurb

I got these as standard on my Canyon and seem a pretty decent wheel
