I wanted a dedicated trainer wheel /Tyre and have exactly the same as my road wheel ( askium with 30-12 tiagra cassette with correct spacers )

Road wheel fine - new wheel jumps gears and miss changes

It’s exactly the same! Any ideas ?

Are both cassettes identically worn?

Is it a symptom of the indexing being out, or of a chain & cassette that haven't worn together making that known?

Think it’s this - will try a new chain set and possibly another new cassette - none of them are that expansive

Make sure that you have the same thickness spacer behind the cassette (assuming they're relatively recent as the newer Aksium is 11 speed and Tiagra is 10 speed.).

Measure the distance between the dropout/frame and the 11/12T on the cassette, have seen some wheels where the distance varies and therefore require a reindex
