BC discount at Halfords
Discussion
Anyone used their British Cycling discount lately?
I've used it in the past and had 10% off whatever the price was at the till regardless of other sale/discounts applied, also included car parts when buying at the same time. Notice today though that I'm sure the wording on the BC site has now changed
• Discount cannot be used in conjunction with other instore promotions.
• Discount not applicable on sale items.
Was looking at buying an already reduced turbo trainer.

Used mine recently on an already reduced turbo trainer, whilst using gift vouchers that I'd got at a reduction through work.
The wording does say not to be used with any other promotion, but what it says and what the guys on the till do don't necessarily align!
May vary with staff and stores though.

That's what I was looking at doing too. Just spotted this on the Ride Benefits page
10% off cycling products in-store at Halfords (excluding gift vouchers and sale items) on any products in store, including sale items. Halfords is the UK's leading bike retailer with over 400 stores across the UK.
Get the feeling this is a very recent change.

Presumably it's excluding using it to buy gift vouchers, rather than using it whilst using gift vouchers though. Just spotted this on the Ride Benefits page

Which if yours is like mine you'll buy the vouchers separately with your work discount, and then use the BC discount whilst using the vouchers in store.
Just had a reply from BC:
Hi,
Thank you for contacting us.
I can confirm that the Terms of the offer Halfords give us, have changed, meaning the discount is no longer redeemable on sale items.
I appreciate that this may be disappointing to you, however I hope that you see enough value in the member benefits you gain access to when joining, to continue your support in the future.
Kind regards,
LEE

Shame, I also got a cracking deal on a turbo ... Elite Muin down to £290 with £9.13 cashback from Topcashback and then 10% BC discount off the £290 so approx £250 all in. This was last month and was thinking of getting another for my Mrs.
I would try it, that wording was definitely in it when I bought mine but they still gave me the discount. Gassing Station | Pedal Powered | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
