Long shot I know but I will ask anyway.

Just bought a Boardman Pro mountain bike (it's great) but I need to adjust the seat backwards.

I can adjust the seat up and down. That one is easy smile

There are 2 other Allen key nuts to adjust.

One tilts the saddle so I assume the other is for backwards /forwards adjustments.

I've undone it but the seat just does not move. Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong?

You will need to loosen both the bolts to slide the saddle where you want it. Then you need to start to tighten them both, make sure you alternate between the bolts, a turn or two on one bolt then the same for the other bolt and rinse and repeat.
Use a spirit level to keep things flat (apps can be downloaded for your phone if you don't have a spirit level, you just sit your phone on top of the saddle)
As you start to get things tight you can find the saddle is not level so release one of the bolts a little and tighten the other, it's a case of trial and error.

But use said spirit level on the ground first to make sure that is flat.

I once watched a guy unbox a new saddle in the carpark at Bedbgebury, complete with spirit level and everything, completely failing to put together the fact that he needed to wedge the Amazon box the saddle came in under his wheel to stop his bike sliding away with the fact that his saddle ended up pointing right up his arse when he'd finished! hehe

Firstly thanks all for the help smile

Undoing both did the trick and was the only thing I hadn't tried. Thought one did tilt and one forwards/backwards.

Glad I asked now!
