What road tyres can I put on my mountain bike?
Discussion
I have a cannondale scalpel 800 that has fat tyres on it. I want to get it out to start exercising gently around my neighbourhood, I never go off road. What tyres can anyone recommend from an online supplier like wiggle? I found a pair of lights I like on their site so I can add tyres to the order maybe. I need inner tubes too as they seem to deflate slowly. They original and quite old. I just want a matching pair that I can use in the damp, not too expensive.
Complicating factor is the rims have the skinny valves not schrader.

Looks like a C'dale Scalpel 800 to me, 26" wheels, so any MTB slick tyre for a 26" wheel size will work.

Something 32mm-35mm width would be my choice.
Get a pair of inner tubes too.

But I must admit all tyres are more pricey than I was expecting. £22.49 in 1.5 inch size.

I used the Schwalbe City Jets for several years. No need to spend more.
