Disc brake help
Discussion
Mrs. Lufbramatt has decided after 2 kids she wants to get fit again. I dug her bike out of the back of the garage and set it up on the turbo trainer and she has been doing some sessions on there which is great. Plan is to get some fitness back on the turbo then take her out for some real world rides to get her skills/confidence back up.
I built her bike up years ago with a lovely little Airborne Liberator frame (new old stock when they went out of business) and the wheel/running gear/suspension forks from an old MTB I wasn't using. Worst part is the v-brakes which I want to upgrade to discs.
Fork and frame have IS mounts (bolts parallel to axle).
Now my plan is to swap the Avid Elixir 5 brakes from my MTB on to her bike. The rear caliper and disk should bolt straight on as my Trek has IS mount on the back. The front is trickier as it is a 185mm post mount caliper on a post mount fork (Fox 32).
I gather no-one uses 185mm discs any more. Can I get a 180mm disc, and 180 post mount caliper to IS fork adapter, and use my existing Elixir 5 caliper on my wife's bike? Does it have to be the Avid part or will a cheaper Shimano adapter work? presumably the bolt holes end up in the same place?
The avid 185mm post to IS adapter appears to be NLA. which is annoying.
I'm then going to get a set of Shimano SLX discs for my Trek Ex8. which hopefully should be pretty straight forward!
also anyone got any links for some budget 26" disc wheels? seem to be hard to come by these days.

I did the same as above by finding an IS to post mount...lol Then realising you want a post to post mount
So its this I guess??
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fahrrad-Bremssattel-Ada...
I also have a pair of 26 lightweight wheels (brand new) on stans rims (arch and crest) with novatec hubs 100mm/135mm and sapim black race spokes but they wouldnt be cheap due to the decent parts used.
A pair of 26 wheels are dirt cheap on ebay.

the linked part is what's on my Trek at the moment.
I need the one for an IS fork to post mount caliper for a 185mm disk so I can use the caliper and disk from my Trek on my wife's bike.
Failing that can I get a 180mm IS fork to post mount adapter with a 180mm disk and use my existing caliper, or is there some difference in the caliper that would stop me doing that?
EDIt: ahh finally found one that isn't silly money
