DT Swiss ARC, PRC & ERC wheels

Currently considering a set of ARC 1100 wheels (48mm rim brake version), the reviews all seem positive in terms of ride and build quality however a few of them have been less than impressed with their braking quality. They have not said it is poor but have commented that it's not great.
Reading on the DT Swiss site they don't seem to mention any specific coating on the braking surface which is something that a lot of other manufacturers in this price range are offering.
The wheels will be for my summer bike so they will be mainly for dry Summer use but as we are talking British summer it's not unreasonable to expect that there will be some wet weather use.
Has anyone on here had first hand experience of these wheels that can comment on their braking performance or their performance in general?
