I've started taking my lad to nursery on the back of my bike...it's a mile round trip on quiet roads and even as a fully signed up petrolhead it seems a little rude to get the car out for that.

The bike in question is an On-One Inbred 26" (from gnarly trails to nursery run...oh how times change...) so the bars are a bit narrower than the current fashion. I'm looking for a bar-end mirror that I can easily see cars coming up behind in, and if it was a wide-angle job and I could see my lad on the back on his Hamax seat that would be a bonus.

Any recommendations do please let me know!

Just put one of these on to replace my wrist mounted mirror.

Difference is like night and day

Goes into the end of the bar and has several shanks of varying sizes, so should be good for your narrow bars. Can be rotated to pretty much any angle you want and is adjustable on the move, whilst being stiff enough to stay where you put it.

Got mine from Tredz and made use of the £5 off internet offer

These are great

Once you adjust them, as they "click", meaning the level isn't changed fluidly, but rather by notch clicks. But once set up, work great. Very sturdy and can fold in completely. I have mine for 15 years now.

I saw some chap with a small helmet mounted mirror the other day. No idea if these are common, but it did make me think “know that’s a bloody good idea!” Not attached to the frame, so no vibration from the bike, and I imagine you can move your head around to alter view-point much more easily than a bike mounted version. And it’s always with you, no matter which bike you’re on. Obviously minor potential for damage to helmet in an “off” but hopefully they’re designed to break away and not spear you in the skull.

Bike eye..
I have had one on my commuting bike for years now, took a while to get used to it, but now wouldn't want to ride on road without it..

Can't add anything constructive, but great choice of bike for the job. I used an Inbred for taking my son to nursery, mostly offroad. Perfect tool for the job.

Great piece of kit. Thumbs up from me. £15 well spent.

I don’t know if it would work too well with a passenger though?
