Stupid through-axle, stupid me
Discussion
After 20 years without incident with QR skewers, my new Cube Attain GTC has through axles. I was putting it back together after a clean this afternoon and had the rear wheel off for the first time, and managed to insert the through axle into the wrong side, and cross threaded both the axle and the mech hanger.
Am I right in thinking the mech hanger can be changed, and that I have not screwed my new bike's frame?
What a dick.

I’ve just had a look at mine which is the carbon frame.
It looks like the hanger is a two piece set up as it needs to take the strain as it’s tightened up.
So looks like it can all be replaced. If yours is alloy then it could be bored out and a “carbon”
Hanger fitted.
Hope that helps.
