Help - commute

So our parking is changing -

one solution is to use a park and ride and cycle using a folding bike from carpark to place of work. however its uphill on the way back....

So I get an electric bike for that....

Im asking for some help and guidance as to what bike would suit. nearly 50 and this bike would be purely a commuter.

Any one with any experience they would like to share.

How far will you need to ride and what's your budget?

Its showing up as 3 miles or a bit less. I know fair bit of a walk ;-)

heading into work and back from work as no parking at site.
