£75 buys a freshly-serviced one on Gumtree right now.
I've got too many bicycles already, but it's a good buy.
1981 Scorpio sports bike.

I have a real soft spot for 1980’s Raleigh road bikes. Owned a few as a teenager and have fond memories of them. I currently own the bike that as a lad I would’ve been in awe of...a SBDU Panasonic 753 with Super Record.

Used to own a Raleigh Record Sprint road bike, I believe it had Reynolds 501 tubing and Campagnola groupset!
Still have a Raleigh Montage MTB in the shed that has Reynolds 501 tubing and Suntour groupset. Both good bikes in their day!

Funnily enough I still have my 1971 Chopper in the back of the garage, my oldest possession . Broke my front tooth after going over the handlebars when the gear ‘slipped’ & I face planted the pavement back then !
A couple of years back I purchased an ‘unused’ Raleigh Pioneer Classic c1995 got £100 from local paper. Still had the bobbles on the tyres, which I had to change as perished.
My most used bike, smooth ride & wont get nicked when left outside the shops!

I still have my Raleigh Rapide from, roughly, 1985
It's languishing, unloved, in my garage frown

Oooooh, yeah!
I have a Raleigh Scorpio, it was my Dad's present for passing his O'Levels.

Pictures please!

ETA: Pics of mine (raceface stickers have now been removed, I was young once)
