Seasucker or similar bike racks - anyone used them?
Discussion
As per the title really, I'm changing from an estate to a 2 seat hard top sports car. It has a glass boot lid and pan roof so obviously won't take a standard rack so just wondering if anyone's used a sucker style mount? It would only ever be for 1 bike, MTB or road with front wheel inside the car.
How secure are they and how much stress do they put on the glass?

Here's a useful old thread, thinking about it myself...

Thanks, some interesting points. https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
I've been using the really basic Seersucker rack on my Cayman for five years and despite seeming really dodgy it has never let go on me (does get some weird looks though).
I sucker direct to the rear windows with a tie-down and foam block (to protect the boot lid) at the back.
Works fine with my Stumpy mostly because the handlebars are relatively wide. It's a lot less convincing with my road bike.
