Surprisingly you can still get them, considering 7 speed and combination brakes and gears went out with the ark

If it is sticking and not been used for many moons, then they have common issues of the oil in them congealing and causing them to not work at all. You could try, before replacing, some spray oil in it to see if it works again.

Buy an individual V brake lever and shifter to replace that combined unit. Should cost about £20 from Chain reaction, still likely to be more than the bike is worth however.

Just so you're aware the shifter and brake lever pictured is a left hand rear brake, and a 3 speed front mech shifter not 7 speed. The 7 speed shifter is the one on the other side with the front brake, that does the rearmost gears.
