Triple shifter + brake

We have a BTwin road bike which is perfectly decent, except the mechanism in the left brake / shifter has failed. They are cheap Microshift levers - these I believe https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174180794105

However the whole bike was only £260 new and I wonder if there is a cheaper option to sort it out? Any thoughts?
