Hi Chaps,

I know that some of you on here also go on regular pilgrimages to BPW so wanted to ask if anyone had any accomodation recommendations?

Requirements are:

1. 17/18/19 April (Fri and Sat night)
2. 4 or 5 rooms (some snorers in the mix)
3. Secure storage for bikes
4. Prefer bike wash facilities
5. Not too far from BPW - max 15-20 mins

Thanks in advance!

Have stayed at https://www.bikeparklodge.co.uk/ before and it ticked all your boxes. We stayed in house 2 i think and was plenty big enough with 5 or 6 rooms, less than 10 mins from the bike park.

We always stay at Premier Inn at Abergavenny. Bikes can be stored in your room and BPW has bike wash facilities.

Staying in Abergavenny means you have somewhere to go out in the evening. We made the mistake of staying in Merthyr on our first trip - never again.

Thanks both - the lodge is all booked up for that weekend but some others have stayed there before and reported good things.

You are right about not staying in Merthyr, also made that mistake!

It looks like one of the group has found a place down near Edwardsville and Treharris which ticks all the boxes!

Nant Ddu Lodge Is just up the road, middle of nowhere though. Rooms are nothing too special for the price but the food is really good. Not to sure on allowing bikes in the room as we used it for a driving holiday

The View Campsite...not much of a view, but super close to the park and walkable into town.

Camping and various lodges are available. Cheap as chips but acceptable for a couple of nights.

Me and the kids usually stay in the Premier Inn in Merthyr 5 mins from BPW. Admittedly we just eat in the crappy pub thing attached but its dirt cheap and local. Stayed there with mates too and ventured into town on a night and didn't find it too bad - Spoons was heaving and there was a half decent curry house just down the road. We did venture into a pub a bit further out of the centre and identified which member of our group we'd kick to the floor and be sacrificed as we ran away though biggrin

We have both of these, house 1 and 2 booked for a weekend in March, glad to hear you liked it! Anything to know/take?
