I purchased my Trek Marlin +6 last Summer after breaking my leg and Ankle and 71 you do not heal fully. This bike has been a godsend for keeping my Cardiovascular fitness in check, and it s great for your mental health.

I have been doing a lot of the not so steep up and downhills on Cannock Chase, which is only one mile from my house, also local Canals and other soft trails. I usually do 26 miles each time I go out which is normally three days a week, plus I swim three day s a week.

I have been getting a little board with all the local rides, so this week I had a tow bar fitted and purchased a good quality carrier. So now I am ready for the good weather where I can get further afield, my thinking is Lake s Bala and Vyrnwy to start with

Happy Cycling everyone

How heavy is the bike and do you struggle to lift it or generally manoeuvre it around?

It’s 23 kilos so not too heavy. Using the Thule carrier is a dream so easy to use. For what trails etc that I use the bike for its very easy to manoeuvre, plus I am still quite active

Yes agreed. It’s only the press stud one. It was just a trial set up

It's absolutely fantastic fun. I've got a CF EMTB (AMflow Carbon) and it's easy to chuck in the back of the Yeti (or obv my transit). 20Kg. I'm lucky enough to have the Quantocks within easy reach.

We end up in the dark up there until proper spring (now!). Last week, pitch black , 3 of use doing 30 plus down open grass fields with lights only. Just so much fun. Like being a kid again.

Doing soft trails is enough for me, and it’s great fun. Glad you are enjoying yourself, these Electric Assist are brilliant.
