Awful, awful news for the whole of cycling.

British cyclist Finlay Tarling has died aged 19, after a serious accident during the eighth stage of the Volta a Portugal.

Not sure the much lauded van rysel air suit would have helped but better safety equipment is long overdue.

We all now how close Sepp kuss came during the tdf, can safety be improved by the organisers?

Just heard about this from my sister. Apparently my niece is good friends with his girlfriend.

Very sad news but I suspect that not much will change as a result.

Awful news. Since getting a Scott bike this year I have been rooting for team NSN in the sprints etc.

From what I read, this was caused by a third party vehicle being driven onto the course in the opposite direction before all the cyclists and its support vehicles had finished passing the area and the road reopening.
