Rather than being obvious and start a what bike thread I thought I would let the pictures do the inspiring.

So, stick up pictures of your winter bike, bonus points for actual winter griminess smile

Is that a Specialized Langster? I have just got one as a start off bike for the road & am really liking it (will post a pic later).

Yes. I've not ridden it properly yet but my brother's had one for a couple of years and really likes it for bashing about on and even long rides.

Just got this this week to use for winter duties. Very little use but with new chain, cassette and tyres about half price. A load of free halfords vouchers paid for the pedals and mudguards. Sorted.

I don't have a pic, but was curious to see if anyone else had begun winterisation. For me it largely just involves adding a set of lights.

I have some scruffy clothes to ride in and my commute takes place solely on tarmac so it doesn't really seem worth fitting mudguards.

It will if it rains and your get a wet backside from your rear wheel and a face full of spray from your front!

Thing is we don't have none of that tarmac crap up here like you southern ponces, just dirt tracks leading t'pits and t'mills. Full of potholes they are, big enough to sleep in, like. Mud up to yer hubs an' all! Smashin'.

Good Skills biggrin

Snow like that looks fun now but if we have a winter like that I'm packing up and moving to Girona!

This may be against 'the rules' but can my summer bike be my winter bike as well?
