Hi all,

Looking at a used bike with an air spring on the fork, on inspection it seems the original dust cap / top cap (not sure what to call them!) is missing and has been replaced with what looks like a dustup from a schrader valve.

Im assuming this wouldn't cause any problems other than looking naff?

Are these interchangeable? A quick google suggests I may not be able to purchase a replacement that is specific to the fork / brand all that easily. Is there such a thing as a generic one?

They are just covers that screw on to the body of a schraeder valve, there are loads of generic replacements on ebay.
Probably other places too, aliexpress, amazon etc.

This is exactly the sort of thing that is gathering dust in your local bicycle shop. You might get a good used one and a spare for a fiver.

They're just a schraeder valve so any regular valve cap will do the job. The fancy alloy ones they come with are cosmetic first, function second.
