Not really heard of Corratec or a particular fan of the look of this bike but this seems an outrageous bargain at £1,650 for a new Dura Ace Disc groupset (11 speed mechanical, not 12 admittedly) with Rotor Aldhu crankset, decent carbon wheels, handlebars, seatposts etc.

Worth it just to strip the bits off it I would have thought - or am I missing something?

Not fully up to date on the price of groupsets but isn't that alone more expensive than the whole bike?

Doesn't have the Dura Ace chainset, but still a bit of a steal. Put your old groupset on the frame and you get a free winter donk to ride around on.

They don’t sell the 11 speed mechanical groupset separately any longer but it’s a mighty fine set up and pretty light. Would have sold for way more than the price of this bike in its day.

Only available in midget, and possibly not that many available, end of line sell off maybe?

Yes, definitely old stock. I think they come up a bit large so may be okay for anyone up to 5’9” ish. Doesn’t matter too much if you’re stripping the parts off it!

Just FYI, Corratec are a proper brand, out of Rosenheim in south Bavaria. I worked down there for four summers and you’d see loads of them around, in fact I bought a cheap 26” hardtail to bomb about on and it was excellent:

I think it was €75? Just needed a new rear mech cable and it was sweet, even the V brakes were terrific!
