I just see that I missed the first episode of "Kings of Nitro" on the Discovery Channel here in Holland. Discovery Channel's "Kings of Nitro" focus on European drag-racing champ Urs Erbacher.
It was scheduled at the oneartly timing of 02.30 in the morning on 31th of december.
The discription of the episode was as follows;
"We follow dragracer and custom bikebuilder Urs Erbacher during the dragracing season. Today he organised an open day at his bike shop to collect money for the first dragrace"
Knowing Discovery I am sure there's going to be enough reruns.

So much for the producers' promise to let us know the broadcast dates so we could post them on Eurodragster.com. After all the help we gave them, too

This was the reply I got from Discovery. The actual producer of the series said he would get back to me this week some time. I think this form response only covers the UK version of the Discovery Channel:
We have made some investigations and "Kings of Nitro" does not appear to be featuring in our schedules in the immediate future. We regret any disappointment this may cause but feel free to contact us at a future date and we will investigate your enquiry again.

You've probably seen this (Swift snippets on Eurodragster.com News of 30th August) but, just in case, Kings of Nitro still does not have UK broadcast dates and may not be on for quite some time yet.

Got my signed copy delivered to me at Pod yesterday... and I'm already loving it...
I'd seen some of the fresh from the camera footage the Gamma guys had shot and it looked great way back then... so to see the finished article is great.. I'd heard several peeps comparing it with 'Driving Force' but in my humble opinion it's wayyyyyy more interesting than that... and great to see so many peeps we recognise too!!
Well worth the money... ok, mine was a freebie... but you know what I mean... hehehehehehehe!!!!

I bought it on Saturday on the fact I had told myself i would see no racing all weekend. So went home Saturday afternoon and watched it. It is brilliant, makes you realise what sacrifices people take to race these beasts. I 've been watching a couple of episodes now and I like it.
Not to much drama and acting, although it is fun to hear the Swiss guys speak English
Yesterday I saw some nice TV-shots shot high from the top of the grandstands of Hockenheim from behind. Then you see these TF's sway in their lane and blackstriping all the way to the end!

I am seeing the official Camera Crew next week,
maybe I will do the commentary for the 2008 NitrOlympX DVD,
I will try to talk them into 3 sound tracks :
german, english and "raw" without any comment (exept the live one).
These guys even had a HD high-speed cam, I saw some shots at the event, great stuff.
