Barry George had a green and silver P100 pickup which he ran in SE a while back then sold it to Monkeyboy from the Saturday Street Racers series, I think he's sold it on since then

Monkey boy part exchanged his manta (the red one you are talking about) for the P100 you mention! He sold the P100 about 2 months ago on ebay and now has a very nice little green pro street escort, I bought the little red opel Manta about 4 months ago as a roller and now shes back on the street!

when i was little lol well 15 must have been 1990's about 1 mile from hutton in essex it was a very old red vauxhall bit like the bottom pic.

the p100 was barry george he rents a unit a few doors along from a few of my friends.

That'll be Andy Frost but he is from the West Midlands (ish) and will probably crop up on here soon.

I like that Cresta, you wont find many of those about now, but i doubt its got the old 3.3 straight six cresta/ventora engine in it .....(how did i remember "ventora")....(the same shall as RV, but with the straight 6)

The story goes, whether it's true or not I couldn't say, that the Ventora was going to have a new 4.6 litre v8 Engine when it was launched, but the early seventies fuel crisis hit and the plans were shelved.

Vauxhall didn't drop the wole engine though, it reappeard as the 2.3 'Slant 4' in the Magnum, which was basically one half of the aborted V8.

Also, it's nice to see someone who knows it's a Ventora and not a Ventura (Which was a Chevy)

im old and sad

i had......

a viva! but it was the "2300", twice the engine almost of the std 1200cc, and with the twin carbs (the later 2.3 magnum had 1) and the full running gear of the VX 4/90 victor

the great thing was (not the OHC slant engine) that it was only distingushable from std vivas by 1 small badge and RoStyle wheels...
